Colca Canyon

On the way up to the high pass which forms the entrance to the Colca Canyon you will meet heaps of llamas, alpacas and their wild brothers vicuñas. Inside the valley life stood still. Beautiful Inca and pre-Inca terraces and a nice population.

4 days hiking over mainly ancient Inca trail, starting at 2500 meter, over the 4200-meter- high death woman´s pass, descending to 3000 meter and up to 3800 meter again to have the first glince of Machu Picchu. You will wonder the length of the Incas.

Lares Trail

Nazca Lines

Visit another Peru mystery, the Nazca Lines. Created by Nazaca culture between 100 BC and 800 AD, still unknown why and how. These figures are so big, you need to board a plane to have any view. You will not believe what you see.
Rainbow mountain

A 3 hour drive from Cuzco and a 4-5 hour hike from 4300 to 5035 meter, close to the Ausangate mountain, you will encounter the excepcional beautiful Vinicunca mountain or Rainbow mountain. It is really hard walking on this altitude, but it is worth it every step. 

Sacred Valley

While in Cuzco a 2-day tour to the friendly and green Sacred Valley is a must. Here you will find the granary of south Peru, people working the land, herding their cattle. In this ambiance there are the fine Inca ruins of Pisac and Ollantaytambo, the salt pans of Maras and the agricultural circles of Moray. 

Sillustani pre-Inca and Inca gravetumbs

Just a short drive from Puno you will find these pre-Inca and Inca gravethumbs in the spectacualr surroundings of lake Umayo. A mixture of Kolla- and Inca-culture. The place is little visited, quiet and worthwhile going. You can get to know rural life by visiting a traditional farmers house.
