Cajon del Maipo selfdrive, wild landscapes

Take your car from Santiago de Chile and drive up yourself into this beautiful valley. The road ends without asfalt until you will reach some lovely thermal baths.

Just a short drive from Santiago de Chile towards the Andes you will enter the Maipo Valley. The lower part is friendly and green and is used to grow grapes. The higher part is wild and barren, with beautiful views towards the high mountains. 
It is a beautiful drive up to the Colina baths and also up to Embalse el Yeso and the Plomo baths. You can walk along glaciers, lakes and waterfalls. There are some excellent restaurants to have lunch and dinner. On booking you will get full information on the possibilities in the valley. Here you are surrounded by nature and by nature only.

This tour starts in Santiago de Chile.

Program day 1

Pickup car and to Maipo valley. You drive up to the higher parts of the valley. You can visit the glaciers and the thermal baths. You will spend the night in a luxury refuge deep inside the valley.

Program day 2

You can explore the desolate upper part of the valley some more. In the afternoon, you wil descend to Pirque at the south side of the river Maipo. You will spend the night in a nice hotel.

Program day 3

After breakfast you can explore some more of the valley before headding back to Santiago and hand in the car. You can end your journey here, extend it or travel on by yourself.
